The Madares

The Madares (or Madhares) are located in the northern part of the White Mountains and are less dramatic than the landscapes of the high desert further to the South. They are thinly and rather evenly vegetated, especially in the numerous sinkholes. Some of these sinkholes are tiny but the larger ones are almost small mountain plains.
